In defense of Vampire Weekend I’m sure that Tod Brody (alone) was responsible for this fraud. He is a very skilled manipulator and cares very little about the extent of the lies he tells in order to get a cash fix. More than likely he forged Kirsten Kennis’ signature once there was interest in the photograph. There isn’t much the band and label could have done to discover the forgery.
